– - – Hi, I’m John, your Webmaster for this Review trip.
Despite the title, this “Major Review” Blog won’t be too military as I AM retired and HAVE actually adapted to life out of Uniform!! In fact, since my Army days (and there were a lot of them) I’ve also been a Doctors’ Surgery Manager, a Seaside Hotelier, and now a Retailer…….. so my Front Line is currently the Shop Counter selling Candles and Gifts!
I can tell you that I’m not “Army-Barmy” or “Khaki-Brained” but I do have a great deal of respect for what our young men do for us around the world and we all need to remind ourselves that it’s their kind of sacrifice that enables us to have the freedoms and lifestyle that we enjoy in the UK today.
I’ve been around the Internet Marketing scene for about 9 years now as an Internet Marketing Hobbyist!! I hate the term but it does describe what I’ve been for such a long time enjoying myself On Line.
So, I’ve spent years reading, watching, learning, attending Workshops and Mastermind Groups and buying a mountain of PLR, Software and “How to do almost everything blindfold” material!!
I know from this experience that it IS possible to earn a living On Line, but that the MAIN KEY TO SUCCESS is -
you guessed it – Taking Action – and then sticking with that plan to see it through.
Are you looking for that elusive secret method, or the “Magic Button to success”?
Don’t – ignore the hype and stick to a few simple principles to get started in this field. There are so many ways of succeeding on line that looking for the one method that suits you can result in the common affliction of Information Overload! It can be avoided.
My aim here is to provide information from my own experience, or from trusted friends in the business, so that you can benefit from that and NOT have to waste your own time and money trying every new shiny program or membership that comes along to distract you. I just hate hype, and there is a lot of it about!!
This is a dotcom Web Address so I’ll try to spell in US style, but occasionally that old British Army training will just FORCE me to use a UK format – so you’ll just have to get used to that – OK!!?
I suppose you’re expecting me to set off by saying “By The Left….” but I just walk normally now, so I’ll have to leave the marching to you, if that’s what takes your fancy?! I don’t even slap my leg with a swagger stick and say “Now Hoist This In Chaps”………… but I will try to emphasize anything I consider really important.
OK, we’re off and running then…….. I’ll get cracking on a few reviews I already have in mind, and I’ve already put up a few provided by others in their relative fields as a starter (I do hate an empty site after all!).
If you have any comments or suggestions then please let me have them.
If you are reasonably polite I’ll even reply!!!
Yours

Hey John,
I was just perusing your page and found a broken link.
It’s the homepage mini-banner for LinkReferral.com to the right of your picture.
I wouldn’t normally write like this (I don’t like to comment much), but it seemed like a pretty important broken link since it’s the first ad on the homepage.
Anyway, take care,
Michael
Thanks Michael.
I haven’t fixed it yet as I’m still working on a plan for a new theme. But the layout has now changed, and the Sticky is gone now that I have sorted out an About Page (and also the necessary Privacy Policy).
John

Edited for Approval by John – thanks Matthew, I’ve seen 2 of the above and will check out the third and make contact.
Just got to finish revamping this site first though.
John
Hello John, if you’d like an idea on what to review next, you could review both my sites shetoldme and best-reviewer they are adsense revenue sharing and they both include a referral program, so you can benefit from doing reviews on them. And also when you’re done with the review you can bookmark it at shetoldme
Good luck, I’ve just validated your application on shetoldme
Cheers,
James
Hi John, hope that you don’t mind me dropping you an e-mail.
I was browsing the warrior forum & noticed michael’s coaching program.
Further to your post, could you confirm that you are still happy
with your investment, also if your efforts have resulted in traffic?
I’am on the verge of investing in the cp. Very wary of WSO.
Many thanks John, sorry for any inconveniance. Alfie “moon” Dixon
Hi Alfie,
Sorry to be so late replying, I’m very busy off line with our Candles and Gifts Shop in York.
Michael’s Coaching was well worth $50 in my view. I needed to be taken through the process step by step and be forced to complete each stage before I could move on.
I thought I’d know a lot of it, and in truth I did, but there were many crucial gaps in my knowledge AND a lack of appreciation of how best to apply some of the techniques.
It’s true to say that I did get stuck here and there, but because of time limitations, not because of Michael’s coaching.
I had to ask for further explanation here and there, which came back to me very quickly – with examples for me to follow to help my understanding.
I think the first few days were the most awkward because I kept thinking I’d done it all before, and then finding that I HAD – but the wrong way with the wrong results!
It wasn’t rocket science, but it beat my knowledge of rubber band power into a cocked hat!!!
I’d certainly recommend it, but can’t tell what you would gain from it as I don’t know your knowledge level. If you want what he’s offering and are prepared to do as you’re told for however long the “14 Days” takes you – then you WILL get it. I completed 2 days in one here and there where I had time to concentrate on this as a priority, but too often it was the other way around, hence the several weeks that I spent getting to “Day 14″. Michael is still available to me for advice, and I’ve also now spent some dough on tools like Market Samurai to help me get cracking faster (when I can make the time).
All the best
John
PS: My rankings are only improving very slowly – because I don’t have time to do the work that Michael recommends for quick progress.
I know they work because another site of mine has gone up to about 45th now for its keyword after being out there in the multi millionth position before I paid someone to take similar action to that recommended by Michael. When I have time to complete more linking for this project I’m sure I’ll see traffic start moving, as it is now for the other one. I’m going to complete this one myself though as it’s such a personal test case for me.
Thanks James,
I’ll work my way around to both of them as soon as I can – I’m afraid my Blog has been sadly neglected for a while but I still have a book full of ideas and plans for it.
I was relaxing with my lunch snack and watching a Brendon Burchard Webinar/Video the other day when I suddenly “saw the light” and realised just what has been missing from my Blog, my planning, and my progress On Line….. Now that I know what approach I must take I still have to fit it in with life in the raw – ie THE RECESSION and the cuts it is lashing across my back Off Line.
However, having suddenly seen my new career open up before my eyes I do need to capture that and not just let it slide back into oblivion.
See you around
John O’York
I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Hi, this looks a bit like a SPAM comment but I’ll reply in passing……….
No, it doesn’t cost much in basic financial terms to get a Blog like this running, and if you want a free one then just use Blogger.com or try Squidoo Lenses for good practice.
Yes, for a self hosted Blog (which puts it in YOUR control) you will need a Domain name (I mainly use Namecheap.com) for about $9 per year, and Hosting (I mainly use D9hosting.com) for $8 – $12 a month.
That gets you going because WordPress installation is easy and free via your hosted site CPanel and there are plenty of free Themes and Plugins available once you enter your WordPress (WP) dashboard at your sitename/wp-admin log in.
There are even cheaper options and I’m sure that by now you are able to just pull up your Google Search bar and enter whatever you are searching for – you’ll find many answers!!
The cost will be high however if you spend a small fortune in running around trying to follow everything that is going on around this huge playground called the Internet!
My strongest advice to anyone looking to earn money here is to find one simple method – make it work – repeat it – and then when you are already earning you can seek out other income streams. How simple it sounds – MANY fail in trying because they CAN’T accept that it’s that simple!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck – Byeeeeeeeee
